Hi all I'm Mark! I'm from Almaty, Kazakhstan. I work in the conjugated polymers team, where I develop and optimize the polymerization reaction to yield high molecular weight using oxygen as a terminal oxidant. Outside of lab, I enjoy playing music (drums, bass) and walking around looking for cool ants.
Hi, my name is Anna Stouffer and I am a rising junior from St. Louis, Missouri majoring in biochemistry (or chemistry, still TBD) and minoring in math. This is my first summer doing research, and I am working on the photoanionic polymerization project, currently attempting to improve yields of this method. I am on the Trinity University Swim and Dive team and I also love to bake, hike, and do all types of crafts.
Hi, my name is Eben Misavage, and I am a chemistry major from Sandwich, New Hampshire, currently starting my junior year here at Trinity University. In the Borden Lab, I work to develop a methodology for the degradation and repolymerization of polyurethanes. In my free time, I enjoy reading, playing board games, and hitting the gym.
Hi! Im Miya. Im a prospective BCMB major with a minor in Religious Studies. In the Borden Lab, I work on the Conjugated Polymer Project, where we are looking at new methods for synthesizing and studying conjugated polymers with potential application in sustainable materials. Outside of the lab, I love painting, finding new music to listen to, and spending as much time outdoors as possible!
Lab Mascots
Mia's loyal companion of 7 years. Luna is best known for her passionate defense of Mia's home from viscous bunnies. Since moving to Texas, she has expanded her specialty to lizards.
Mia's newest companion. Bpy is more of a physicist than a chemist because his greatest passion is ensuring that gravity still works. by knocking Mia's stuff to the ground.
